Know What Happened at Every Branch Tonight, Not on Monday Morning.

Urban Eye protects SACCO branches, microfinance offices, forex bureaus, and jewellers in Kenya with silent panic alarms that reach a 24/7 control room, shock detection on safes and strongroom doors, controlled staff access, and counter cameras, with every branch's alarms in one account.

Branch security fails in the gaps between people, doors, and head office.

These are the risks SACCO managers, bureau owners, and jewellers raise with us most. Each one maps to something we install and can show you working.

Staff held up at the counter

In a robbery, reaching for a phone or setting off a loud alarm can put staff in more danger.

Under-counter buttons, two-button fobs, and foot switches send a silent alert without a sound in the branch.

Usually fits: silent duress alarms

Hearing about a branch incident days later

An alarm at one branch on Saturday night, and head office only finds out on Monday.

Alarm events from every branch in one Ajax account, so management can follow what is happening across the network as it happens.

Usually fits: one view across branches

An attack on the safe after hours

Someone works on the safe or strongroom door overnight, and nothing sounds until it opens.

Wired Ajax Superior detectors on the safe and strongroom door raise an alarm on shock, tilt, or opening.

Usually fits: safe and strongroom detection

One person alone with the cash

A single staff member can open the strongroom, so there is no second check.

Suprema access control can require two authorised people to open the door, and keep paired doors interlocked.

Usually fits: staff-only access control

Counter footage that shows nothing useful

After an incident, the camera shows a blur where the customer's face should be.

Cameras with 4mm lenses at each teller window, aimed for clear faces at counter distance, and full-colour cameras at the entrance.

Usually fits: counter and entrance cameras

Not sure where your branches are exposed?

A branch risk assessment checks counters, the strongroom, safes, doors, and camera angles, and gives you a written plan.

Request an Assessment

A silent alarm, and a control room that sees it immediately.

This is what separates branch security from a camera installation: a person on the other end, 24 hours a day.

01

Staff press a hidden button

An under-counter button, a DoubleButton fob that needs both buttons pressed together, or a foot switch.

02

Nothing sounds in the branch

The alarm is silent, so nobody at the counter knows help has been called.

03

The control room sees it at once

With PRO Monitoring, the alert reaches our team and our response partner's 24/7 control room immediately.

04

Response follows your plan

First responders attend, serious incidents are escalated to armed response, and your branch contacts are informed.

05

The incident is on record

The alarm event is logged, and counter and entrance cameras hold the footage.

Everything on this list, we can show you working.

Named products, so your procurement team can check every line. Anything more specialist is specified during the risk assessment, not promised here.

Silent Duress Alarms

Ajax Button under the counter, Ajax DoubleButton fobs that only trigger when both buttons are pressed together, and wired foot switches connected through the Ajax Transmitter.

24/7 Control Room Monitoring

Duress and intrusion alarms reach our team and our response partner's control room at the same moment, with first responders and escalation to armed response. See PRO Monitoring →

Branch Intrusion Detection

Shock, tilt, and opening detection on safe and strongroom doors, glass-break detection on teller screens, and motion detection in the banking hall after hours.

Staff-Only Access Control

Suprema readers on staff-only doors, with two-person authorisation and interlocked door pairs configured where the branch needs them. We installed access control for Bureau De Change Trade in Nairobi CBD. See Access Control →

Counter and Entrance Cameras

TP-Link VIGI cameras with 4mm lenses at teller windows and full-colour night recording at entrances, with around 30 days of footage stored in the branch. See CCTV Installation →

One View Across Branches

Alarm events from every branch in one Ajax account, and door access for all branches managed from a central Suprema BioStar 2 system.

Guards on Site

Urban Eye guards at the branch entrance where the risk calls for a trained person on site. See Manned Guarding →

When the contents are worth more than the box.

A standard door sensor tells you after the barrier is open. For safes, strongrooms, and cages holding cash, gold, controlled drugs, or servers, detection goes on the barrier itself.

Jewellers and Precious Goods

Shock and tilt detection on safe doors, glass-break detection on display areas, and silent panic buttons at the counter.

Pharmacies With Controlled-Drug Storage

Detection on the storage cabinet or room door, staff-only access control, and a record of who opened it and when.

Server Cages and Data Rooms

Access control on the cage or room door and an alert when it is opened outside the agreed schedule. See Access Control →

Certified Vault-Wall Detection

Where an insurer or specification requires certified detection on vault walls, we specify it during the risk assessment and source it for your site as a wired installation.

Planned around your cash routines, not ours.

Branch security needs confidentiality, clean installation, and staff who know exactly what to press and when.

01

Branch risk assessment

We inspect cash counters, the strongroom, safes, staff doors, and camera angles, and review your insurer's requirements.

02

Written design and proposal

You receive the equipment list, response plan, installation dates, and price for approval.

03

Installation outside trading hours

We normally install when the branch is closed, on the dates agreed in the proposal.

04

Duress training and testing

Staff learn where the panic buttons are and how to use them, and the silent alarm is tested with the monitoring team.

05

Monitoring and support

Alarms stay connected to the control room, and we support access changes as staff join and leave.

A good fit, or better served by something else.

We would rather point you to the right service than sell a branch system to a business that does not need one.

This is a good fit if

  • You run SACCO, microfinance, or forex bureau branches that hold cash.
  • Your staff need a safe, silent way to call for help at the counter.
  • You hold a safe, strongroom, or cage with high-value contents.
  • You manage several branches and need to see them from one place.

You are better served elsewhere if

  • You run a single shop without a strongroom. See Shop Security
  • You mainly need guards at the door. See Manned Guarding
  • You are protecting a home safe. See Home Programs
  • You need ballistic glazing or armoured doors supplied. That is specialist building work, though we can monitor what you install.

Common branch security questions.

Still have a question?

Talk to our operations team directly on WhatsApp or by phone.

How do silent panic buttons avoid false alarms?

For fobs we use the Ajax DoubleButton, which only raises an alarm when both of its buttons are pressed at the same time. The buttons are firm and separated by a divider, so a single accidental press does nothing.

Where does a panic alert go?

With PRO Monitoring, the alert reaches our team and our response partner's 24/7 control room immediately, without a siren sounding in the branch. First responders attend, serious incidents are escalated to armed response, and the branch contacts in your response plan are informed.

Can you detect an attack on a safe or strongroom?

Yes. Wired Ajax Superior detectors on the safe and strongroom door raise an alarm on shock, tilt, or opening. If your insurer or specification calls for certified detection on vault walls, we specify it during the branch risk assessment and source it for your site.

Can two people be required to open the strongroom?

Yes. Suprema BioStar 2 can require two authorised people to present their credentials before a door opens. For paired doors, an interlock keeps the second door locked while the first is open, so only one door of the pair opens at a time.

Can we see every branch from head office?

Yes. Alarm events from every branch can be followed in one Ajax account, and door access for all branches is managed from a central Suprema BioStar 2 system.

Do you install outside trading hours?

That is how we normally work, so customers and daily cash handling are not disturbed. The installation dates are agreed with you in the written proposal.

What does the branch risk assessment cost?

The fee depends on the size and number of branches and is confirmed in writing before the assessment is scheduled. It is credited in full if you go ahead with an Urban Eye installation within 90 days of the report.
