A System Nobody's Watching Is Just Expensive Decoration.

When your alarm goes off, the alert reaches Urban Eye and our response partner's 24/7 control room at the same moment. It is checked before anyone is sent, first responders attend real incidents, and serious ones are escalated to armed response.

An alarm only protects you if someone acts on it.

These are the situations where monitoring earns its monthly fee. If yours is here, it is probably worth it.

A 3 a.m. alert you cannot act on

Your phone lights up in the night, and you are left deciding whether to drive over alone.

Our team and our response partner see the alert at the same moment and decide what happens next, so you are not the first responder.

Usually fits: PRO Response

An empty home while you travel

You are hundreds of kilometres away when the alarm goes off.

Alerts are handled according to the response plan you agreed, and you are kept informed about what was found.

Usually fits: PRO Response

A shop or office with nobody nearby at night

The siren sounds on an empty street, and nobody comes.

First responders are sent to confirmed alerts, and the incident is escalated to armed response if it is serious.

Usually fits: PRO Response

A fire in an empty building

A fire alarm ringing after hours protects nothing if nobody hears it.

Fire and intrusion alarms on one monitoring plan, with separate escalation steps agreed for each.

Usually fits: PRO Enterprise

A large site with many buildings

Alerts come from several buildings, gates, and systems, and nobody sees the whole picture.

One monitoring plan across the site's alarms, fire detection, and staff panic buttons, with the right contacts for each area.

Usually fits: PRO Enterprise

What happens between the alert and the response.

Every monitored property follows the same sequence, set out in a response plan you agree before monitoring starts.

01

An alarm is triggered

An intrusion sensor, fire detector, or panic button raises an alert.

02

Two control rooms see it at once

The alert reaches Urban Eye and our response partner's 24/7 control room immediately, so nothing waits for a phone call.

03

The alert is checked

Alarm photos, camera footage where installed, and your site's procedures help separate a real incident from a false alarm.

04

First responders go to site

Confirmed alerts get a response on the ground. If the situation is serious, it is escalated to armed response.

05

You are informed, and it is recorded

Your contacts are updated as agreed, and every event is logged for follow-up and review.

Three plans, from handling alerts yourself to full site response.

Monitored plans carry a small one-time setup fee to connect your system and agree your response plan. The amount is shown in your quotation.

What affects your monthly price

The starting rates cover a typical single property. These are the things that move your price up or down, and your quotation shows each one.

  • Number of alarm transmittersPRO Response starts with one primary transmitter. More are quoted after the survey.
  • Fire as well as intrusionMonitoring both means two sets of escalation steps.
  • Buildings and sitesSeveral buildings or locations on one plan.
  • Cameras for checking alertsCCTV alongside your alarm gives the team more to go on.

Alarm systems also need Urban Eye Connect, from KES 1,500/month, to stay online and send alerts.

Built around the alarms and cameras we install.

Monitoring is usually paired with an intrusion or fire alarm, with CCTV added where you need to see what is happening.

Intrusion Alarms

Door, window, and motion sensors raise the alert, and photo-verified detectors show what triggered it, which helps separate a real intruder from a false alarm. See Smart Alarm Systems →

Fire Alarms

Smoke and heat detectors in an empty building report a fire to the same monitoring plan, so a fire at night is not left to ring unheard. See Fire Alarm Systems →

CCTV Alongside Your Alarm

Cameras give the team context when an alarm is triggered. We confirm how footage reaches the monitoring team during your survey. See CCTV Installation →

Panic Buttons

A button under a counter or beside a bed sends an alert that is treated as urgent, for staff and families who need help quickly.

A good fit, or better served by something else.

Monitoring is worth paying for when nobody else can reliably act on an alert.

Monitoring is a good fit if

  • Nobody can reliably respond to an alert at night or while you are away.
  • Your property holds stock, cash, or equipment worth protecting after hours.
  • You have, or are installing, an intrusion or fire alarm.
  • You want alerts checked before anyone is sent.

You are better served elsewhere if

What happens when my alarm goes off?

The alert reaches our team and our response partner's 24/7 control room at the same moment. It is checked using your alarm photos, camera footage where installed, and your site's agreed procedures. If it is real, first responders are sent and your contacts are informed, and the event is recorded.

How fast do responders arrive?

Arrival time varies with your location, the time of day, and traffic, so we do not promise a fixed number of minutes. What does not vary is the alert itself, which reaches our team and our response partner immediately.

Is armed response included?

First responders attend confirmed alerts. When the situation is serious, they escalate it to armed response. Not every alert needs armed officers, and escalating only when it matters keeps armed response available for real threats.

Is there a setup fee?

Yes. A small one-time setup fee covers connecting your system to monitoring and agreeing your response plan. The amount is shown in your written quotation.

What is the difference between PRO Response and PRO Enterprise?

PRO Response suits a single home, shop, or office, and its starting rate covers one primary alarm transmitter. PRO Enterprise suits larger and higher-risk sites that combine fire and intrusion alarms, staff panic buttons, or several buildings or sites. The exact scope is confirmed during your survey.

Can monitoring work with my CCTV?

Yes, when cameras are installed alongside an intrusion or fire alarm. The alarm raises the alert, and camera footage helps the team check what is happening before anyone is sent. We confirm the setup during the survey.

Is response available in my area?

Response coverage depends on where your property is. We confirm it during your free site survey, before you sign up.
